Membership

Men and women considering working with the TBRC are invited to check out the Join the Team page. It is helpful if applicants live within the four state area of emphasis, but it is certainly not required. The role of Associate Member is designed specifically for people who may not be able to participate in an active investigative way, but who may want to play a supportive role in the TBRC and help to advance the group toward its goals.

The TBRC uses a tiered membership approach. Anyone can apply for Associate Membership. The annual dues for Associate Members are $45; the annual dues for the more active Investigators are $75. Members, both Associate and Investigators, have access to a private discussion forum where information is shared, questions can be asked, and relationships can be forged. Research opportunities may be offered to Associate Members, depending on region of residence, desire, drive, background, training, knowledge, and interests, etc. All members are encouraged to attend the annual Texas Bigfoot Conference.

Depending on level of involvement and other considerations addressed annually by the Field Operations Coordinator and the Board of Directors, Associate Members may be assigned to field investigator status. Investigators have access to a different discussion board as well as the raw sighting reports database, where all sighting reports are stored, published or not. Investigators are responsible for assessing reports and conducting on-site visits, when appropriate.
